A second experiment was carried out to record polarisation curves and conduct galvanostatic cycling with potential holds on a system where DHAQ could more fairly be called the CLS from the beginning. A negolyte and posolyte of respectively 15mL 0.2M DHAQ in 1.4M KOH (= 1.0M OH–) and 15mL 0.4M K4[Fe(CN)6] in 1.0M KOH were used. The cell build was otherwise as stated for the previous experiment, and measurements were carried out at a flow rate of 100 mL min−1 and at room temperature. Polarisation curves were recorded at 100 %, 50 %, and 10 % SOC at a scan rate of 30 mA s−1 after initially charging the system galvanostatically at 100 mA cm−2 to a voltage limit of 1.7 V, which resulted in a capacity of 155.6 mA h.
