Countries with “suspected” activity are those where cryptoasset mining could not be confirmed by multiple sources. Size of identified megawatts does not correlate to actual geographic location. There are likely hundreds of hashing facilities all over the world; however due to a lack of credible and reliable data, the Cambridge authors were not able to identify every facility.
