Congratulations to the speakers who were recognized for best oral presentations: • Kyusung Kim, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology • Yunzi Xin, Nagoya Institute of Technology Additionally, congratulations to Theresa Davey, who was honored as an invited lecturer (inset photo). n Dayton/Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Section extends Elevator Pitch Competition deadline The Dayton/Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Section has extended the deadline for its first virtual Elevator Pitch Competition for undergraduate and graduate students. Students are invited to submit a 60-second video addressing the impact of ceramics in society, such as their dissertation work, research project, or topic learned in class. The top 10 entries will be selected. Winners will receive a one-year GGRN membership (graduate students only) and $100 toward an ACerS conference in the 2022–2023 year that begins after the ACerS Annual Meeting in October 2022.
