Based on this, the TIT has been set to 1644K and the OPR to 38. Figure 12 shows the relationship between core efficiency, thermal efficiency, overall efficiency and SFC at the chosen TIT. It can be seen that the maximum values occur at approximately the same OPR, which also corresponds to the lowest value of SFC. The propulsive and transfer efficiencies are relatively constant over this range, and are excluded in the diagram. 31
