The task bars in orange represent activities unique to the GTA development concept. The yellow box at the bottom center of the figure represents a key constraint in the process. This time interval begins when engine data analysis is complete and final component requirements are defined. This information is rolled into the final design of the component that culminates in the component Critical Design Review (CDR). Manufacturing then begins in earnest resulting in first delivery of the production configuration (and optimized) component. Note that the schedule shows the detail design phase beginning before the final engine test data is available. This is done to define the component design features that are not dependant on acquisition ofthe engine data.
