A specialized High Pressure Tribometer (HPT) was used to perform both types of experiments. The disk sample is fixed on the upper rotating spindle capable of unidirectional sliding speeds up to 2200 revolutions per minute (rpm) and reciprocating motion up to 4.85 Hz with variable oscillation amplitude.
