A Table of Contents entry Homogeneous N-doped graphene/S nanocomposites with different S loadings, synthesized using chemical reaction-deposition method and low temperature heat treatment, were electrochemically evaluated as cathode materials for room-temperature Na-S batteries. 25% S nanocomposite exhibited the best performance with capacities of 212 and 136 mAh g-1 in 1st and 10th cycles. This enhanced electrochemical performance is attributed to the improved kinetics by established conductive network and easier intercalation of Na+ into expanded NGNS layers due to S within graphene layers. 27 This article is protected by copyright.
