Therefore, the experimental data was correlated with the quadratic mixing rule in Aspen Plus. The equations are shown as: (3) (4) (5) where kij and lij are the binary parameters, and xi and xj represent the mole fractions of the components i and j, respectively. The correlation was based on the mole fraction of the component, and the corresponding mass and mole fractions of water in the aqueous [Amim][HCOO] are listed in Table 6. In essence, Fig. 1 depicts the comparison of the experimental data with the correlation results. As can be seen, the model fitted to the experimental data excellently.
