Factors affecting membrane morphology such as adhesion, interaction among components, and thermal, chemical, and mechanical resistance have been explored and discussed. 2. Results and Discussion 2.1. Thermal Properties The thermal properties of the MMMs are shown in the TGA diagrams in Figure 2. The major weight loss for all the materials involved in membrane preparation occurs at a temperature between 250 and 630 °C. This weight loss is due to the decomposition of the matrix. The thermal decomposition of the IL occurs at 200 °C, which agrees with literature [23].
