CHAPTER 3: HEA T PtlMP SIMULATION MODEL 3.1 Compressor Characterization DORIN (s.a.) presents a wide range of CO2 compressors, satisfying nearly every application of CO2 in the field, as can be seen from Figure 3.1. This compressor was chosen because it could be compared to an R-22 heat pump of the same heating capacity of on average 50kW. It is a transcritical compressor suitable for the following applications: • Commercial refrigeration for medium to low evaporating temperature. • Refrigerated transport. • Sanitary hot water heat pump and ambient heating systems. • Chillers. • HVAC systems.
