Q. :::l • .! ! ! , , 4: COMP ARISON BETWEEN R-22 AND SYSTEM 110 From figure 4.17, figure 4.18 and figure 4.19 the daily minimum water supply temperature to the building for the three systems can be seen. In the winter months there is a slight drop in the supply temperature due to the fact that the demand for hot water is higher than the heating capacity of the heat pump system combined with the storage capacity. The supply temperature is still sufficient for use by the occupants. The R-22 heat pump system has a larger drop in the water supply temperature than the CO2 system during the winter period. The CO2 heat pump system average supply temperature is above 50°C, where the R-22 system average temperature drops below 50°C a few times. This is due to the fact that the R-22 system has a lower COP, especially during the winter period, and is therefore less efficient than the CO2 system. From fig ure 4.19 it could be seen that the ILH does not have any problems in keeping up with the hot water demand, this is because it has a higher heating capacity than the heat pump systems.
