This is from a prediction made for the increase in tariff rates for South Africa over the following years. Figure 5.5 shows the total operating cost for the first year and the accumulated operating cost for the years to follow including the increase in tariff rates for a period of ten years. Therefore with the increase in tariff rates taken into account the operating cost alone for the CO2 heat pump system will be R3, 030,781.71 for ten years.
