These costs are difficult to assume because of the complexity and novelty of the system. Hence payback analysis with a range of cost values for storage is tabulated in Table 5-1. Table 5-1. When the cost of CO2 heat pump system is considered low, the cost of the storage system becomes prominent and hence the difference between storage systems become significant. An appropriate comparison between the storage systems can be made with better knowledge of the cost. However, with expected reduction in cost of paraffin wax storage in future, paraffin wax seems to be a more preferable option as a storage system.
