5. Heat pumps that emits heat QI. The heat of the generator is used to heat the solution from the absorber, then the heat Ql is rejected from the absorber. The high temperature heat at the generator is released at the absorber and the condenser. In order to improve the coefficient of performance COP, heat exchange HX is inserted as shown in (Fig. 5.20). The heat exchanger allows the solution from the absorber to be preheated before entering the generator. In this way part of the heat is returned.
