Figure 28 shows the variation of the coefficient of performance of the heat pump system with the variation of set point temperature for hot water and gas cooler side pressure. For each set point there seems to be one optimum pressure value which corresponds to maximum achievable COP, the optimum pressure shifts to a higher value as set point temperature is increased (from 55 to 60 oC). Furthermore as the set point temperature is increased from 60 to 65 oC COP is decreased by about 10%.
