Tapping Mode – Closed Tank The tank was filled with city water and dyed hot water as described in the previous section. The polycarbonate cover and the metal plate were mounted by using the lifting device, and the six steel rods were tightened. During testing, city water was fed through the diffuser, and the hot water above the insulating plate was drained through the outlet hose at the top of the tank (drain 2). Due to unwanted deformation of the tank walls (oval shape), the maximum water flow rate was limited to about 20 l/min.
