When 0.5 wt% GO MEA was tested in DMFC, the maximum power density slightly increased around 19% comparing with the standard MEA. The power densities increased with increasing wt% of GO from 0 wt% to 1.0 wt% and then decreased with increasing the GO wt%. In this work the maximum power density of GO modified binding layer MEA (~ 79 mW/cm2) was obtained with GO 1.0 wt%. The 2 wt% GO MEA showed slightly lower power density (~76 mW/cm2) than the 1.0 wt% GO MEA. To investigate the power density of GO modified binding layer MEA, GO MEAs were tested using LSV and EIS to evaluate the methanol crossover and proton conductivities in DMFC. 4.6.2 Optimal DMFC Operating Temperature Using GO-MOR MEA The following experiment was made by using 1.0 M methanol concentration as an anode feed with flowrate of 5.0 ml/min. At the cathode the air was supplied with a flow rate of 1.0 L/min. Catalyst loading for both anode and cathode were 1.0 mg/cm2 of platinum.
