At 2.0 M the power density was 48 mW/cm2. This indicates that the ideal fuel cell operating parameters of the 0.5 wt% SULFO-MOR MEA was obtained at 70°C and 1.0 M. The same case was found when used standard MEA and F-MOR MEA. Since all MEAs reached their maximum power density at the same fuel cell operating temperature (70°C) and methanol concentration (1.0 M), it was justified to choose these parameters as optimum process variable of DMFC in this work. 5.5 Effect of Varying Methanol Concentration on GO Modified Binding Layer MEA in DMFC This experiment was carried out by preparing three different methanol concentrations 1.0 M, 2.0 M, and 4.0 M as the anode feed with for testing the 1.0 wt% GO MEA in DMFC. Figure 5.6 shows the polarization curves and power density of 1.0 wt% GO MEA at different methanol concentration at 70°C in DMFC.
