Discrimination of Modified Nafion Membranes The tested modified Nafion membranes were molded using molds G1 and T3. These were the smoothest and the roughest surface textures transferred to the Nafion membrane. These surfaces were discriminated by the area-scale analysis results shown in Fig. 5. The discrimination of the surfaces was not evident simply by looking at the area-scale results; however an F-test of 90% confidence was performed on the area scale results indicating that the surfaces can be distinguished at the micrometer scale as demonstrated by Fig. 6.
