Planned FY 2006 Activities In FY 2006, the Thin Film PV Partnership will continue to address key issues supporting the successful first-time manufacturing or explosive manufacturing growth of each thin film. These will be especially critical in FY 2006, which is expected to be a key year in thin-film growth, with U.S. production rising from about 12 MW in CY 2003, to over 40 MW in CY 2005, and perhaps doubling again in CY2006. Any setbacks in manufacturing yield or outdoor reliability could lead to multi-year setbacks or even technology abandonment in extreme cases. 5.
