The characteristics of the plants developed in 2009, 2011, and 2015 were used to calculate the economic impact of developing CSP plants in Section 5.0. The CSP plants have nominal levelized costs in the range of $103 per MWh to $157 per MWh with the 30 percent ITC and $115 per MWh to $176 per MWh with the permanent 10 percent ITC. This is competitive with the 2007 simple cycle combustion turbine with a levelized cost of $168 per MWh (using the MPR natural gas price of $6.40/MMBtu escalated at 2.5 percent).
