TASK 1: DEVELOPMENT OF CO2 BRAYTON CYCLE Task 1-1: Development of the Efficiency Equation of Turbine and Compressor for the Real Gas The objective of this task involves mathematical derivations of the turbine and compressor efficiency. When supercritical CO2 gas is expanded and compressed in a real gas fashion through a sequence of turbines and compressors, the isentropic formulas shown in most thermodynamic books are no longer useful.
