These parameters are examined while varying the ORC evaporator pinch point temperature, the ORC pump inlet temperature, the turbine inlet pressure and the biomass mass flow rate. The exergy efficiency and CO2 emissions are calculated for three cases: electrical power, cogeneration and multigeneration. The exergy analysis results are summarized in Fig. 6.43, and show that the highest exergy destruction occurs in the combustor, mainly due to the irreversibilities associated with combustion and the large temperature difference between the air entering the combustor and the flame temperature.
