As depicted, an increase in PV/T collector width increases the exergy efficiency of the system. This is due to an increase in collector area, which increases the electricity generated by the PV/T and increases in the absorption chiller energy input; this, in turn, increases the exergy efficiency of the system. An increase in this parameter also resulted in an increase in the purchase cost of the PV/T, which is a function of collector area. Therefore, the higher the PV/T purchase cost, the higher the total cost rate of the system.
