Water-cooled condensers are always better than air-cooled condensers, because water has better thermal properties than air. As a result of this, the condenser proposed for use in this project is a water-cooled condenser. The condenser cooling water is modelled using the average annual weather conditions at Billingham, Cleveland, UK, which is the location of the crisp manufacturing plant.
