Frequently, the solvent of choice for these processes is organic or halogenated, accounting worldwide for more than 30 billion pounds of solvent usage each year. Many industries rely heavily on our local communities’ water/waste treatment facilities. The most significant users include the electronics, textile, pulp and paper, chemical, and mining industries.
