This value is more than the daily average electricity usage by the plant which currently stands at about 190.30 kW (see section 4.1). It also meets about 92% of the peak daily electricity usage, which was 216 kW at 18 hrs (see Figure 4-3). From the entropy generation analysis carried out, Preheater 2 is found to generate the most entropy in the system. It accounts for about 35.67% of the entropy, while the pump generates the least entropy in the system. In a real system, there is always a deviation in the nominal design point during the day-to-day operation of the plant.
