In fixed-rate mode (Rate_Mode =2) there is accommodation for constant-output operation. Constant output is achieved by setting a design delivery rate of heat transfer fluid to the power cycle ( m& discharge ). All solar field flow in excess of m& discharge is diverted to storage.
