TEST RESULTS L Because of the difficulty in completely characterizing any given field test situation and the large volume of data takent an attempt has been made to distill, by example, the most consistent and important results into a relatively concise summary. Individual discussions are divided into two main groups according to the respective evaporator mode, surface or direct contact, because this distinction proved to be the most significant one encountered during the tests. Condenser design performance predictions were, of course, based on operation i n t h i s I1clean" mode (i.e., one without water noncondensible gas contamination from the brine). Fig- are 10 shows the condenser design point prediction, ATlm = 5.167 K (9.3O0F) a t a heat load of 586.1 LW (2.000 x lo6 Btu/h), with a water flow of 1.893 x 10-2 ma/s (300 gpm) and a water inlet temperature of 297.039 K (75.00OF).
