Three trends can be noted, as follows: • The gross and the net plant outputs both increase as the water consumption increases • The pump energy demand is the highest for the wet cooling tower, and lowest for the air cooled condenser, due to the demands of the circulating water pumps • The hybrid cases use the same air cooled condenser as the dry cooling tower case; thus, the fan energies for the hybrid cases are the sum of the fan energies for the dry case plus a portion of the fan energies for the wet cooling tower.
