Electratherm is a company devoted to energy conservation and sustainability. They have designed a product called the Green Machine that is essentially a turnkey ORC system. The Green Machine requires the heat input to be in liquid form, preferably water, and a water- cooled condenser. The Green Machine’s advantage versus other competitors is that it incorporates a double screw expander that is supposedly more efficient than standard expansion turbines. The Green Machine has multiple working fluids available to be used depending on the application and claims to have a 3-year payback.
