Schlieren carried out a contractor evalua- tion for construction and operation of its energy network on this basis in early 2005. ewz was awarded the contract on the strength of its integrated concept for the phased development of the entire area, on the principle that work must begin locally and be linked up later. The conces- sion is to run for 35 years, with an option for future extension. It entitles ewz to lay lines and cables for an energy network within the defined area. Implementation of the energy network. ewz began in 2005 with the planning for the implementation of the Schlieren ener- gy concept and the supply of heating and cooling to the Mùˆlligen post building.
