7.1.4 Task D Identify Results from Field Studies that Could be Shared Placed in a Database to Accelerated Research Results Collect various cases of induced seismicity associated with EGS and geothermal activities as well as data to correlate with EGS parameters as heat transfer surface, rock volume, fract6ure and fault properties, injection rates, etc. 7.2 Work Performed in 2010 7.2.1 General On 7 October 2010, at the 24th IEA-GIA ExCo Meeting in Iceland, a new Annex was suggested. New Zealand, Australia, France, Germany, Switzerland, US and the EC all expressed interest in being involved. This would replace Task D (Seismic Risk from Fluid Injection into Enhanced Geothermal Systems), then included in Annex I and relating to Annex III. A first draft of Annex XI was developed, and was sent out for review to the interested parties. The main questions that were brought up were: Will work under the IPGT and IEA-GIA overlap with any of each other‘s work? Will this overlap be acceptable? Are there any data, experts, test locations, labs, tools that the members would like to leverage as a part of these efforts? Are there any vital tasks or work products that are not being addressed anywhere? These questions were addressed at the 3 May 2011 IEA-GIA meeting held in Paris, France, and jointly attended by the IPGT Induced Seismicity Group.
