Contracted with Electroconsult for feasibility study of a 15 MWe plant. 1983 - Electroconsult feasibility study concluded that the resource could support a 15 MWe plant for 20 years; suggested drilling three additional wells to maintain steamflow. Studydidnotestimateresource’stotal potential. CHRONOLOGY 1993 - Identified as a priority area with the cooperation of IAEA. 1996 and 1997 - Geochemical study conducted; isotopes analyzed in Vienna by IAEA. NOTES Estimated potential capacity pending further study with support from IAEA.
