Olive Squash Olive squash is a residue from the olive oil and food industry in southern Europe. Compared to wood chips olive seeds have a significant higher density and at the same time much lower moisture content. Olive squash has a strong resemblance to refined bio-fuels for example Pellets, thus it is very easy to process. Production of olive oil in the Mediterranean area amounts to 1.5 million ton annually, this result in annuals availability of 2 million tons olive squash. The market price is 14 €/MWh (1996), [64].
