Medium ORC applications in refineries and chemical plants need more careful technological considerations as the system needs more safety requirements. Solar Thermal High These waste heat processes all provide a continuous abundant source of low-grade heat, usable for ORC. However, the experience in these installations is not as great as in geothermal. Medium An ORC powered solar system can be used for power production, and it is proven to work, however the overall system is rather complex compared to a geothermal system.
