interested in a licensing partnership once the technology is further along. Ormat’s dominant position in the geothermal space and the value proposition from the OFC could pave the way for a mutually beneficial partnership between Dr. Ho / LBNL and Ormat Technologies. TAS Energy The mantra of venture-backed TAS Energy (“TAS”) is to create efficiencies and eliminate waste. TAS currently has ORC systems that they sell to players in the solar thermal and geothermal space. We have had discussions with Richard Cheng and Guofu Chen from their Technology and Sales Engineering department and they expressed a lot of interest in a licensing partnership. The appropriate next step with TAS Energy would be to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and provide them the necessary information to conduct their own technical verification of Dr. Ho’s results. Once they have validated the technology it would be prudent to move forward with a specific conversation about licensing parameters and expectations of LBNL.
