Team Biographies Andrew Collier: Andrew is currently a second-year MBA focusing on the intersection of technology and sustainability at the University of California, Haas School of Business. Prior to business school, Andrew worked in New York and San Francisco for a consultancy called GreenOrder, which focused on environmental sustainability. The firm helped companies develop strategies to gain competitive advantage through greener operations, products, and policies. Andrew studied Earth and Atmospheric Science at Cornell, and spent a portion of his studies conducting a field study on the big island of Hawaii. Andrew has served as an active volunteer for Imagine H2O, the Surfrider Foundation, and the Boy Scouts of America. In his spare time, he enjoys being outside and partaking in activities such as backcountry skiing, scuba diving, and triathlons. Christian Di Sanzo: Christian is currently a PhD student in the Nuclear Engineering program at UC Berkeley where he officially advanced to candidacy in December, 2011. He received his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA. At UC Berkeley, Christian has focused his research on studying advanced fuel cycles and using fusion-fission systems and reactors to reduce repository requirements. Christian has been published several times including a recent article “Environmental Impact Analysis for Fusion- Fission Transmutation Systems” in 2010. Amir Khan: Amir is a second-year full-time MBA student at the Haas School of Business. After graduating from Duke University with a BA in Economics, he spent four years in the Global Power Group at Lehman Brothers interacting and working with utility, independent power producer and financial sponsor clients. Subsequently, he worked for a middle market private equity firm called Primus Capital and analyzed investment opportunities in the business services, healthcare and education sectors. Most recently he spent just under a year as a Finance Manager at Stanford Marine Group, a shipping company based in Dubai. Amir is passionate about the renewable energy space and is focusing his studies and extra- curricular activities to further his knowledge in this space.
