Thus, the properties of the fluids at node 1 in Figure 3-5 can be obtained. It is possible to calculate the heat transfer coefficient and the pressure drop for this element with the correlations described in the previous sections. Then, the area of the section can be obtained from the general heat transfer equation, A(i) = Q ̇(i) . The number of elements, NCV, is set to 200 for the calculations performed in the next sections.
