If they are used as a drop-in refrigerant, the technician must ensure that the conversion has been done according to the appropriate safety rules. • The initials “(HT)” and “(LT)” imply that the refrigerant is more suited to high temperature (eg, chilled food) or low temperature (eg. frozen food), respectively. • In addition to the refrigerants listed, there are many other products on the market that do not have an R-number.
