These generally measure refrigerant into a system using precise mass flow meters, and are generally accurate to ±0.5g or better. Vapour refrigerant charging Vapour refrigerant charging is the process of moving vapour out of the vapour space of the refrigerant cylinder to the low-pressure side of the system. Charging while the system is running is acceptable as long as the suction pressure is closely checked during the charging process. Due to pressure difference consideration, the cylinder pressure could become lower than reading than the charging cylinder. 3 - Continue adding refrigerant by opening the charging cylinder valve until the proper charge is obtained.
