4.5. Market of electricity generated from biomass in Serbia 2009 Ordinance [1] sets forth incentive measures regarding the use of renewable energy sources. This legal document guarantees purchase price within 12 year period. Feed in tariff is dependant on type of renewable energy source, on one hand and capacity of plants on other hand. Biomass feed in tariff equals to 136 €/MWh for plants with capacity up to 500 kWel. For plants with capacity between 500 kWel and 5 MWel the following formula is used: 138.45-4.89 * P, (P is capacity of plant in MWel, and result is expressed in €/MWh). For facilities with capacity between 5 and 10 MWel tariff is 114 €/MWh. 5 Results In Serbia hardwood is mostly processed, primarily beech. Softwood are processed much less, predominantly fir and spruce. Sawmill production in Serbia is with numerous low capacity plants. Most of them has capacity less than 10,000 m3. In Serbia production in sawmills is mostly so called one-fazed production, which means that logs are cut into final shapes (products) and thereafter dried. In addition, the so called two-fazed production is used, but not so often. In two-fazed production the logs are primarily cut into unrefined shapes, and after drying, cut into the final shapes (products). For the sake of this analysis, based on these two different technologies, there is difference in quantity, structure and moisture content of wood residues. In this frame of reference there are three different cases of sawmill production analyzed in this paper (see Figure 6).
