The circuit opens when any safety switch trips or if the emergency stop is closed. Once opened, the relay must be reset locally using the reset button (#8 on this figure) or remotely by a PWPS service technician. 7. Mode switch – local interface on machine for turning the unit on or off (typically for service). The switch position is labeled “Auto” to indicate that the controller is allowed to start if all other criteria are met.
