The composition of the global wind energy market has changed substantially over the past five years, largely due to the growth in demand in China. China’s share of cumulative installed capacity increased from 6 percent in 2007 to 27 percent in 2012, while Germany’s decreased from 24 percent to 11 percent and Spain’s from 16 percent to 8 percent.
