Cost-Effectiveness of Distributed Generation Technologies Electricity costs are based on the 20kW that the cleanup system is expected to draw, combined with the capacity factor of the system and levelized based on the actual gas consumption of the technology. Electricity costs were assumed to be $0.15/kWh. In order to associate the capital and O&M costs for gas capture and gas cleanup to the individual DG technologies, it was necessary to estimate the annual energy requirements. Table A-1 lists the technology inputs for each individual technology studied in this report using biogas as a fuel resource.
