This information shows an overall cumulative IC engine generation capacity growth rate of 64%. CHP cumulative capacity growth rate for the same period is 41%. However, CHP installations during the same period decreased by 38%. The learning ratio for CHP applications is 4% which is in line with the volume of IC engine produced annually. The learning ratio is the projected cost reduction achieved each time the cumulative capacity doubles.
