5.4.3 Heat source temperature and pinch point temperature difference Figure 5.8 shows the influence of the heat source temperature on the system performance. The pinch point and the temperature difference between the heat reservoir and the turbine inlet are kept at 3 °C and 10 °C, respectively, and the turbine inlet point is maintained on the saturation curve while the temperature of the water is increased. The increase in heat source temperature is followed by a decrease in exergetic efficiency while the energy efficiency remains almost constant.
