2.3.1 CHP potential if oil is replaced by biofuel CHP potential has been evaluated to be 501 MW of electricity and 776 MW of heat based on district heat energy consumption, if production by oil fuel and coal fired heat only boilers could be replaced by biofuels in 2000. Criteria for evaluation are the same as mentioned earlier in this chapter. The total amount of possible CHP units is 61. The deviation of amount of potential CHP plants is shown in figure 13 in seven categories. The capacity of CHP plants is shown in figure 14.
