1. Introduction The geothermal -solar PV hybrid electricity production in Oradea, Iosia North district. The goal of this project is the production of electricity from renewable energy sources (geothermal and solar) in an integrated hybrid system all year round, with minimal influence of the external environment on the project performance. The hybrid system capacity : 50kW geothermal + 21kWp photovoltaic . Project location: Oradea, Romania. Geothermal Energy Source: Geothermal Production Well 4767 Oradea, Iosia Nord district; 105 ̊C heat source temperature; 11 l/s flowrate; Geothermal - ORC equipment: - 50 kWe Electratherm’s Green Machine; - 725 kWt capacity Guentner Air Cooled Condenser; -pipes and network connections; -heat and electricity metering system; The ElectraTherm Green Machine is a heat engine which uses the Organic Rankine Cycle to convert thermal energy into mechanical work in order to produce electrical energy. The Green Machine uses geothermal water and moves it to a cold sink, while producing mechanical work. In the case of the Green Machine, the mechanical work is produced through the movement of heat is used to drive an electrical generator. Solar PV equipment: The photovoltaic system is located inside the geothermal heating station on the roof of the building and consists of 108 AE 195m-7 cells with 195W. The installed capacity is 21.06 kWp.
