The ?uidic crude oil is preferably pumped ata controlled inletpressure approximating ambient pressure. [0033] Withinthe?oWpath,localizedzonesofreduced ?uid pressure are generated inthe ?uidic crude oil.The ?oW path preferably has a series of chambers With varying diam eters and static elements to create sudden reductions in ?uid pressure as the ?uidic crude oil ?oWs through the ?oWpath. These cavitation features comprise caviatation bubbles that contain vapors of volatile components inthe ?uidic crude oil.The cavitational features are then collapsed to expose components of the ?uidic crude oiltosudden,localizedincreasesintemperatureandpressure. Duringthiscollapse,thevaporsofthevolatilecomponentsin the cavitational bubbles are mixed With adjacent layers of condensed ?uidic crude oil, transiently enriched With less volatile components of the ?uidic crude oil. This exposure andmixinginduceschemicalreactionsbetWeencomponents inthe?uidiccrudeoiltopromotemolecularrearrangementof the components and modify rheological parameters of the ?uidic crude oil, such as viscosity, API gravity, and hetero geneity. [0035] Theprocessmayfurthercomprisethestepofpump ing the ?uidic crude oil through multiple cavitation devices arrangedinseriesand/orparallel.The ?uidiccrudeoilmay be combined With solvents and/or surfactants to loWer the vis cosityofthe?uidiccrudeoiltomake it?oW easier.Inaddi tion,the?uidiccrudeoilmay beexposedtoapulsedelectri cal/magnetic?eldorpre-heatedtoloWertheviscosityofthe ?uidiccrudeoil.Further,the?uidiccrudeoilmay beexposed toUV lightirradiationorsonicirradiationbefore,duringor afterthecreationofthecavitationalfeaturestofurthercreate cavitationalfeatures.
